Located approximately 17 miles north of downtown Chicago just west of Wilmette, the Village of Golf is home to approximately 170 families and one commercial enterprise - the Western Golf Association and its Evans Scholars Foundation. The village has its own U.S. Post Office, police force and Metra train station. Schools, parks and the fire department are shared with neighboring Glenview.
Glenview is located between the Edens Expressway (I-94) to the east and the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) to the west, just 20 miles north of downtown Chicago.
The Golf Civic Association is a seven-member community organization whose responsibility it is to plan social events for the residents of the village and help celebrate holidays, as well as welcome new residents and keep the village looking beautiful. As one of the smallest communities in Cook County, the Village of Golf has a long tradition of community involvement and organization.
Glenview is served by several public school districts as well as local private schools.
