Deer Park
The Village of Deer Park offers pleasant suburban living with a touch of charm, with a number of ponds and lakes, small and large, throughout the area, and rolling open countryside. Northwest inside and just outside of the village one finds Cuba Marsh which is a veritable gold mine for birdwatchers and where you also find other wildlife, just south of the village is the Deer Grove Forest Preserve.

Deer Park is a suburban community located approximately 35 miles northwest from downtown Chicago with beautiful residential subdivisions, restaurants and boutique shops, and modern shopping establishments.
Lake-Cook, or County Line Road and Rand Road (U.S. 12) provide access to U.S. 53, which provides access to the Northwest Tollway (90). Connecting Deer Park with surrounding suburbs are such major arteries as Hough Street (59), Northwest Highway (14) and Rand Road (12). A Metra train station in nearby Barrington has daily parking options as well as parking by permit.

Residents enjoy the best of both worlds: living within long stretches of green space yet with quick access to a variety of shopping only minutes away. At the Deer Park Town Center in the midpoint of the business district, there are year round activities from summer concerts to art fairs, country markets and winter fireworks sponsored by the Village.
Deer Park Town Center, featuring over 70 of the most exclusive stores and restaurants in Chicago's northwest suburbs, is located at the intersection of Rand (Route 12) & Long Grove Roads. Woodfield mall in Schaumburg, and Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills are both 20 minutes away; further north is Gurnee Mills.
Deer Park parks offer a range of facilities, including tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields and children's playgrounds. Cuba Marsh (located at Cuba and Ela Roads) attracts bird-watchers and nature-lovers throughout the year, and the Deer Grove Forest Preserve, south of the village, has picnic areas, a baseball diamond, five acre fishing lake, bike and hiking trails, ski trails and a toboggan hill. The Vehe Farm includes an athletic field, prairie path and butterfly garden.
