Located approximately 13 miles northwest of the Loop, Peterson Park is bounded by Devon Avenue to the north, the North Branch of the Chicago River to the east, Peterson Avenue to the south and Pulaski Road to the west.

"For transportation, there's the Ravenswood Metra station. The CTA red and brown lines have stops in the area and CTA bus transportation is convenient. The Kennedy Expressway and Lake Shore Drive are a short drive away, too."
