When it was time for me to look for a new home, I knew immediately that Laurie Gross was the Realtor for me. Laurie is honest, discreet, intuitive, and she really knows the market. She made sure I was educated about all of my options, and she was always available to answer my questions. She even arranged (free of charge) for a contractor to walk through a prospective house, offering information on cost and feasibility of remodeling. I highly recommend Laurie for your next real estate transaction.
"Laurie really listens and understands the process of buying and selling real estate. She sold my house and represented me on a purchase of a condo. Laurie gave her heart and soul on each transaction. She has a flare for interior decorating as well as a strong mathematical sense of market conditions. Laurie made the process as enjoyable as it could be, though I am glad both transactions were completed on the timetable I set out. Thanks Laurie for making it happen. i have already recommended Laurie to an east Wilmette family!"
"Laurie provided excellent suggestions on how to make our home more saleable. She did a great job in marketing the home putting together the on line listing combined with open houses and print ads. In a very difficult environment we closed on the sale of our home in 3/09. We would recommend Laurie highly as a diligent, knowledgeable real estate agent for a buyer or a seller."
"I was concerned as the market conditions were challenging, and we were just weeks before Memorial Day--typically the start of the summer real estate slow-down. Further upping the stakes was the fact that I had already signed a contract to purchase a new home at the end of July. Happily, my concerns were without merit, as Laurie promptly sold my home in just 10 days--for full asking price! I attribute this great result to Laurie's acute market awareness, strong marketing skills, and unique ability to connect with people. I highly recommend Laurie to anyone seeking to sell or buy a home."
My father passed away with his home having been ignored for 40 years. Laurie Gross had the assignment of advising on the market place, time, and most importantly what steps we should take to best prepare the for sale. Her vision and advice were exceptional. Laurie then had the job of properly setting the asking price and positioning the property for sale. (Too high and you would scare away the pool of real potential buyers and too low and you would not attract an appropriate final sales price.)
To set the asking price right requires someone who truly understands where the market is, what factors will influence it over the next 6 months and thus where the market will be throughout the sales process. And most importantly how all of that applies to the property you are selling taking into account all relevant factors including location, condition, potential, etc..) Her marketing acumen was excellent and her outstanding execution produced substantially more interest, viewership and pursuing potential buyers than other similarly situated properties were experiencing. This was a direct result of the way she worked to discover, inform, and interest prospective buyers from a broad cross section of categories and geographic areas. Laurie was instrumental over time in creating a bidding competition between four potential interest buyers. Her knowledge and experience, including knowing how to work with the other agents and their potential buyers, resulted in our receiving the best available price for my father's home and substantially more than anticipated. Her professionalism, dedicated hard work, expertise, and thoughtful handling of all aspects of the transaction were at the very highest level and should be rated as outperforms expectations."
"My wife and I found Laurie online. She had represented a buyer in a recent sale in the neighborhood in Highland Park that we were looking at. Laurie was a pleasure to work with from the beginning and did a great job showing us the different neighborhoods in Highland Park. She also did us a great service by having us speak with a mortgage broker she works with that was able to inform us that the broker we had initially worked with had made a major error in his underwriting per recent regulatory changes. Although this changed our budget, it ultimately saved us a lot of time and money as we were close to going under contract on something we would not have qualified for. In the end, Laurie recommended we consider a home that we had written off based on our review of the online listing. After a three weekends of showing us homes, Laurie had gotten a great feel for what we were looking for and had gone out to tour homes on her own to find something that she thought we'd like. We were under contract the day we saw the home. Laurie is a true professional."
"I have used Laurie twice: once to sell, once to buy. Both experiences were seamless. What I most depended upon was an accurate reading of the market conditions at that time in history, financial advice that was a direct result of her banking background, and a skilled negotiation that helped us achieve our buying and selling goals. I truly felt as if she was working on my family's behalf."
"Laurie was so patient and knowledgeable with my husband and my home search. She really provided us with all the tools we needed to find a great house. She goes out of her way to be sure that you will find a house that you will be happy with. I would say that I would use Laurie again, but she found us the perfect house so we won't be moving anytime soon. I would recommend her to anyone looking in the North Shore of Chicagoland for a home! She's a gem and a friend now!"
