Located 30 miles northwest of Chicago, the Village of Indian Creek was incorporated in 1958. As of the 2010 census, Indian Creek's population was 462. Police services are provided by Lake County Sheriff and fire/EMS services by the Countryside Fire Protection District. Indian Creek has the smallest area of any incorporated place in Lake County.
