Asheville is home to University of North Carolina Asheville (UNC Asheville)—a four year liberal arts university that's part of the UNC system. Montreat College, Warren Wilson College and Mars Hill University are also nearby. A-B Tech, Asheville's community college, offers both general and trade curriculums for students of all ages. Western Carolina University and Lenoir-Rhyne University Center for Graduate Studies of Asheville offer graduate and professional degrees with locations in the Asheville area.
